The mission of Connect Groups is to facilitate the connection of people who attend Word of Life Church with each other and the Word of God. Groups are a relational “vehicle” for spiritual growth. People can connect with others that are in the same stages of life as they are: Young Adults, Married with kids, Boomers, Seniors...etc. For more information on group meeting times please click here and fill out the form to have more information.

Believers in Jesus were never meant to go through life alone. This area of ministry brings strength to our lives by connecting with one another.

  • Addiction Recovery (Leaders: Theresa Caldwell & Terri Lehnhardt)

    Group support for alcoholics, addicts, and their loved ones. This is a Seven Principles approach to recovery from chemical addiction. Meets on Thursdays from 7-8pm at 1598 Jackson St./Dubuque.

  • from grief to grateful (leader: grace clemen)

    Join us as we help one another past the grief of losing a loved  one and forward to be grateful for the plan our Heavenly Father has for us. Meets on the 3rd and 5th Sundays from 1:30-2:30pm at Grace’s home. (No group on Easter Sunday)


    Meets on Tuesdays from 7-8pm at James’ home to learn how to receive our healing, keep our healing, and then go and share God’s healing power with others.

  • i was broke. now i'm not. (lEADER: Ron White)

    We will learn through the book, "I Was Broke, Now I'm Not" and increase our wisdom for success in our finances. Meets Wednesdays (except 1st Wednesday) at 7pm at WOLC.

    Cost: $20

  • Online Women's Prayer Group (lEADER: Tiffany Wuertzer)

    Connect online with other women for prayer and encouragement. We will also have scheduled times of in-person fellowship to share the goodness of God in our lives.

  • pickleball (lEADERS: Greg & Laurie Parker)

    We meet on Tuesday nights at 6pm on the Flora Park volleyball courts for some fun playing pickleball. Ages 6th grade and older are welcome to play. Cost: $8

  • Prayer Groups (lEADER: Deb Humke)

    Meets weekly at WOLC to diligently take the needs of the church and the nation before the Father in prayer. Come pray with us-there is room for you. Tuesday morning or evening.

  • With Kids (lEADERS: Nick & Melissa Vize)

    Meets on the 2nd and 4th Fridays at 7pm to connect families with school-age children. Studies, BBQ’s, game nights-let’s connect! Location: Vize’s home. 

  • empowHer (Leader, Erin Bee)

    Meet at the coffee shop inside Mindframe Theatre every Friday from 7-8pm for some good fellowship and growth in our relationship with God and with one another.

    Join the WOLC team and play co-ed slow-pitch softball on Friday nights this summer. Practices in April, games begin in May. Must be at least 16yrs old.

    Get a great start to your walk with Jesus! Talk about what it means to follow Him. 1st & 3rd Thursdays 6-7pm at Java Joe's Coffee Shop.

  • heavenly help [book study](Leader, Kris Miner)

    Attention Ladies! We will be reading and discussing Sarah Bowling's book, "Experiencing the Holy Spirit in Everyday Life". Coffee and snacks provided. Saturday mornings from 9:30-11:30 at the Miner home. Meeting on these days: 4/22, 5/6, 5/20, 6/3 and 6/17.
